Documentary Production Training with StoryMi Academy
In partnership with StoryMi Academy, the French Embassy is organising documentary production trainings for cohorts of Nigerian documentary filmmakers. The aim of the programme is to encourage quality documentary production in Nigeria, promote exchanges between French and Nigerian directors and producers, and introduce the documentary style to the general public while generating interest in ethical journalism.
Nigerian Delegation at Sunny Side of the Doc
In June 2024, the French embassy brought a delegation of 7 Nigerian documentarists to the world-renowned festival Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle, France.
They had the opportunity to pitch their documentary project in front of an audience of professionals and potential investors, as part of a Nigerian documentarists focus.

Nigerian Delegation at FIPADOC
In January 2024, 6 Nigerian project holders who had benefited from the StoryMi Academy training course were able to pitch their projects to a group of documentary professionals at the FIPADOC documentary festival in Biarritz.
