The Amplify Bootcamp
For Music Artists & Managers

The French Embassy in Nigeria organised two bootcamps (Lagos & Abuja) for 20 Nigerian musical artists and their managers.

After an open call that received over 200 applications, our jury - Made Kuti, Blessing Azubike, Godwin Tom, Margaux Demeerssemen and Adeola Akinyemi, selected 32 artists and managers based on their musicality, experience and motivation.

The aim of these 5-day bootcamps, in partnership with CChub, is to train emerging musical artists and their managers in various skills such as storytelling and pitching, legal aspects in the music industry, artistic communication and the use of social networks, as well as concepts such as artistic identity and career planning, among others.

The Bootcamp is intended to be a timeless moment of reflection, in a privileged and inspiring setting, where artists and their managers have a unique opportunity to move their project forward, surrounded and advised by a team of the best experts in the Nigerian music industry. The aim is to give beneficiaries all the keys/skills they need to leverage their capacities and build up their career.

At the end of the bootcamp, artists leave with a ready-to-use EPK (Electronic Press Kit), as well as a career plan and a communication plan.

The Amplify Bootcamp - Live Performance Training

After the two first Bootcamps, the jury met a second time, and chose 4 artists and their managers among them, based on their deliverables. They then took take part in a 5-day Live Performance Training, in partnership with CIIFA. They were trained on topics such as stage design, media etiquette, vocal techniques, establishing a technical rider, and live contracts, with experts as Foza, Major Bangz, Ice Nweke, Osafile Oladotun, Shimmer Goddess, Dr. Bukky George Taylor, and had numerous talks with Godwin Tom.
