Making Zero Waste is coming back to Lagos! This second iteration of Zero Waste Workshops builds on the success and impact of the 2024 workshops in both Lagos and Accra.
Committed to eliminating waste in the design process, these workshops will inspire tailors, upcyclers, and designers to re-think their waste strategies and re-imagine waste as an opportunity, as they design products for a better future. Participants will gain knowledge about the theories, context and construction of zero waste pattern cutting and design, receive hands-on training and a toolkit of materials to help develop their very own zero waste methodology. Through these workshops, participants will also explore, and learn together, how Zero Waste design can draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of African textile traditions and histories, while complimenting today’s contemporary fashion.
